As an Oregon Wedding and Elopement Photographer, it’s always been one of my goals to photograph a snowy and intimate winter wedding in the city. I never expected Erica and David’s intimate wedding to be the one, but this year Portland saw a burst of snow in February, beginning the day of their wedding. It was such a beautiful and peaceful scene for Erica and David’s Valentine’s Day weekend festivities.
As the weather forecast became more clear throughout the week, we made a few alternative plans so that this lovely couple could still say "I do” safely as the snow started falling around us. Erica and David had the most lovely and intimate ceremony and celebration at David’s family home, against a backdrop of sparkling winter white. They exchanged vows, gave toasts, and created special memories with their closest family (with the rest on Zoom for the ceremony).
I loved all of the personal touches and meaningful moments throughout the day that brought this snowy and intimate winter wedding to life: the artistic decor, the snow-covered leaves, the artisan baking, and the happy and loving expressions shared by everyone there. The gorgeous florals were by historic Portland florist Flowers Tommy Luke, and the pops of blush, cream, red and pink were a real treat for this Portland Wedding Photographer to document.
I’m so honored to share Erica and David’s love story - press play, scroll and enjoy this snowy winter wedding!
