Cecilia and Kenny planned a beautiful and intimate autumn wedding in Portland, Oregon. They invited their closest family and friends to attend and incorporated the sweetest personal elements into their celebration. Both artists themselves, they wanted the day to flow naturally with a focus on their surroundings and everyone close to them. The couple got ready at their local home, joined by Kenny’s sister and Cecilia’s mom. The ceremony was at the stunning Lan Su Chinese Gardens in downtown Portland, Oregon, followed by an evening reception at Elder Hall.
Cecilia, Kenny and their family and friends were so welcoming and inclusive; I felt like a guest at the wedding. They have so much love surrounding them, especially from those there in spirit. Kenny lost both of his parents in the last few years, and Cecilia’s father passed earlier in 2019. They wanted to end 2019 on the best note by celebrating their love with the community around them.
Kenny’s sister officiated the ceremony after walking her brother down the aisle. The couple did a ring warming where each guest held their rings for a few moments during the ceremony and warmed them with their wishes, prayers and blessings. The day was filled with laughter, joy and many hugs. It was such an honor to document this day.
