There are so many words that come to my mind when I reminisce on Tam and Josh’s iconic city wedding in Portland…glamorous, elevated, chic, classy, elegant, captivating, luxurious, stylish…words that also describe these wonderful humans so perfectly. Beyond so incredibly kind, warm and truly fun, with such an infectious energy and chemistry. And I loved spending time with their friends and family - what a party! 🎉
Tam and Josh live in New York City, one of my favorite places. They first met in SoHo over a shared love for high fashion, both having their own fabulous and creative styles. Since Tam is originally from the Portland area, they planned a wedding on the west coast that would allow more of the family to attend.
As a Portland Wedding Photographer, this day was a literal dream and an absolute treat for the eyes. And being able to document this love story through my lens was such an honor. I was constantly swooning over the incredible details and wardrobe!
The Portland Wedding festivities started with a traditional Vietnamese Wedding Tea Ceremony, as Tam wanted to pay homage to her heritage and culture. The ceremony was at the Jeffrey Allen Gallery, owned by Tam’s uncle with a beautiful Temple inside that was founded by her grandmother. The space was full of vibrant colors and beautiful decor.
After an epic wardrobe change back at the Hyattcentric Hotel, we headed over to the renowned Multnomah Whiskey Library for a reception with an old Hollywood/Gatsby style. The vibes were so sultry and moody, yet totally glamorous at the same time. Guests wore tuxes and gowns in black and dark colors to bring the theme to life. Signature cocktails, champagne tower, photo booth and a lively dance floor…it was a celebration for the ages! ❤️
