Shannon + Aaron: Columbia River Gorge Adventure Elopement at Bridal Veil Falls
This elopement was such a dream! Shannon and Aaron planned a trip to Oregon to elope in the Columbia River Gorge at Bridal Veil Falls. The weather was classically unpredictable, with pockets of rain and sunshine, only adding to the adventure and pacific northwest vibes of the day. The happy couple shared their heartfelt vows as the rain fell down, with waterfall and forest views in the background. It was a beautiful and intimate celebration of love. The sun broke through at the end as we wrapped up and they headed to dinner in Hood River.
Thinking of eloping? You won’t regret it! There are so many reasons to elope and have the adventure wedding of your dreams. And I’m always happy to help plan and coordinate your Oregon Elopement! Reach out with any questions! :)
Some of my favorites reasons to elope:
Eloping allows you to celebrate your own way and create an authentic celebration around what you love to do or where you love to go. Plan a hike, visit city hall, or take big trip and come back married!
You get more time together as a couple. Big weddings can feel rushed and sometimes stressful. When you elope, you can go at your own pace and really enjoy the day.
You can focus your time and money elsewhere. Planning a wedding is a big time commitment and financial investment. By eloping you spend more of your precious time and resources on the things you love.
It’s sustainable! Big weddings create quite a bit of waste, and eloping is a low-impact way to help the environment. You can also be out in nature.
It’s spontaneous and fun! Enough said.
Many couples opt out of eloping because they want to include more of their family and friends, and don’t want to offend anyone. But there are also so many ways to incorporate everyone into the celebrations. You can plan a reception or dinner afterward, invite your closest family and friends to witness your elopement with you, share the elopement photographs at a party a few months after, and so much more!
Elopements aren’t for everyone, and the most important thing is to have the wedding of your dreams and to do it your way. Whether that’s an elopement or a full-day wedding, it should always be what feels right to you both.
