This Connection Session was such a treat for me. Amy and Wayne travelled up to the Pacific Northwest from Texas for a vacation to see Wayne’s family and where he grew up. Amy is a photographer herself, and met Wayne at one of the weddings she was shooting a few years ago. They decided to elope, so this session was not only to commemorate their relationship and journey together as a couple, but a chance to create some lovely portraits for them both.

Amy reached out to me on Instagram, and I was so delighted that she trusted me to capture this special time for them. When we finally met in person at Cannon Beach, it felt like we were old friends catching up! We had been planning the details of the session, and it really felt like we’d known each other for years.

We spent the afternoon and evening in Cannon Beach, Oregon - starting at Ecola State Park, and then made our way down to the beach after sunset. We had the most perfect Autumn weather, and the light was incredible, even the moonlight that night!
